Do I have a receding hairline ?
So I got a real nappy haircut which resulted in me shaving my head for the first time in 3-4 years and I have noticed I have that "M" shape going on. I've always had super thick hair and when I was 18 i had a similar shaped hairline (my mates use to call me thunderbird). I've attached some pictures what do you guys think ? is it mature hairline or a receding one ?

There is no such thing as mature hairline..However the receding can happen in different patterns, you can have a phase then stay stable for a long time or have a steady decline...Depends on people.

Thanks for your response Louish. So there isn't a way to tell whether its going to be stable or not apart from measuring it ?

You can try to guess from your age, rate of progression and other males in your family. But it will remain a guess.

Your hair is really weird. It looks like a bad transplant job. Definitely looks thinned out. I think you're diffusing with minor temple loss. Louish is right about his comment about mature hairlines. Compare with older photos if possible.
