is this diffuse thinning? am i balding?

Im 20 year old male. i have had thin hair since i was about 16, but it seems very noticeable now. no one in my immediate family is bald, my moms dad was the only bald one. my dads dad has a full head of hair at 80 Years. I have heard over masturbation can cause this as well as hot showers, both which i used to do. i recently quit and started cold showers a couple days ago. any idea if this is genetics and inevitable or if there is some other reason? Thanks. any home remedies i can try out?

There looks as though there's a diffused thinning pattern , however , the hair at the side of your hair looks thinner too and like that of the hair at the top. Normally , not always , mpb doesn't affect the hair at the sides and back of the head . Have you been to the Dr ?

It's diffuse thinning but because it's also on the sides it's not typical MPB imo. Maybe see a doctor and if it's stress related or bad diet then the good news is these can be easily corrected, well more easily than MPB which is a long winding road to the heartbreak of baldness.
