playing with your hormones is tricky and everyone responds differently. I believe 1mg ed can potentially be WAAAAY too much for some people and other people its just the right amount.
Still others have a negative reaction to any attempt at DHT blocking... the body responds in a strange way either sky rocketing DHT somehow or sky rocketing estrogen levels.
I think those people are outside of the bell curve but there are enough of them that it is important.
So id say yes, continue what you're doing for 4 months and give it time... and then maybe start increasing the dose (VERY SLIGHTLY) to see if you get any positive effects.
The key here is to give it time and not have knee jerk reactions. Dont focus on the hair loss if you can

The Pura D'or gold shampoo makes my hair look amazing for anyone interested. I have my hair long and I could pass for a Norwood 1.5 with a thinned hairline, plus it looks thick and soft af. I'm using Nizoral only once per week because it was irritating my scalp a bit, even if it removed the dandruff.

Hey jean does your shampoo have dht blockers in it?

Pura D'or Gold has the motherload of DHT blockers.
"Powerful blend of Biotin, Pumpkin Seed, Black Cumin Seed Oil, Saw Palmetto, Nettle, and other plant-based ingredients to help increase volume & thicker hair."
Plus a million other ones.

Yeah and its just over priced garbage like most hair loss shampoos. None of that is going to absorb enough to do anything unless you used it everyday and soaked your head in it for hours. In which case you might get sides anyway from lowering your androgens systemically because any real topical amount will go systemic. To be fair I think plenty of men including myself fall into the DHT blocker shampoo trap where your happy to be taking action thinking it might help a little.
Oh how we wish a shampoo could stop androgens locally only. How much easier life would be.

No ones saying it's going to save lives, but why not add it to a routine including fin and minox?
