Hi everyone, I started noticing some diffuse thinning at the top of my head about two weeks ago. It's been getting worse very rapidly and I think I've lost about 50% of the thickness I had half a year ago. So I looked into possible treatments and chose minoxidil because of the minor side effects. I tried using it two days ago once in the evening and then once again the following morning. I applied a bit more than prescribed maybe 1.7 ml each time. Since I did that yesterday, my hair has become very, very thin and it seems like I've lost another 50% in just two days. I think maybe I had a lot of damaged follicles and regaine caused all of them to shed even though I only used it twice.
My question is, do you think it's possible that Regaine caused all of this shedding from only two doses? And if the rapid thinning is caused by Regaine should I then continue using it?
I stopped because I read a lot of bad things about it, and have decided that I don't want to be on it, unless this beginning of the treatment now requires that I continue, for it not to have had a negative impact.
My question really boils down to this: Could regaine have had any effect in two dosages?
