Am i going bald? 16 years old. :/

Hi. Well i think i've a receding hairline therefore going bald. What do you guys think? Can i prevent balding? The father of my mother was bald and the father of my father was bald too, and so my father.

My age is 16 and i probably have social anxiety.

Yeah that's one of the worst cases I have seen for a 16 year old.

Same thing as I told someone else try a hair loss multivitamin (the Lipogaine and HR23 are quite good) + 320 mg of c02 extracted Saw Palmetto, use a ketoconazole shampoo like Nizoral or better yet one without SLS like Regenepure DR, and use a topical DHT blocker and growth stimulator like Trichogen or Revivogen. All natural methods, and unlikely to give you any serious sides.

Minoxidil and Finasteride the FDA approved treatments aren't suitable in your case as you are too young for your hormones to have found their natural equilibrium, so I wouldn't go near them. I'd try the all natural method and see what happens, if in a year of the lighter routine it hasn't helped, try adding a low alcohol 2% minoxidil along with the natural stuff and see if you get any sides with it. I wouldn't touch finasteride until you are 19 or 20, and a doctor wouldn't prescribe it until you are 18 anyway.

Thanks man, i didn't think it was so bad . I'm going to be following your suggestion and maybe visit a specialist. Luckily my hair can cover it...

Still looks great in the present, no one would notice and it wouldn't alter your looks, but if it looks like that at 16 by 22 or 23 if you hadn't done anything you could potentially be a late norwood 3 or 4 which is bordering on "bald guy" status. A specialist will probably bring up minoxidil and the common brand it is sold as Rogaine and Finasteride (Propecia) which you couldn't currently be prescribed to use anyway.

I think even with something like Nizoral shampoo, Revivogen topical treatment and Lipogaine pills you'd do fairly well, and probably even get some regrowth in the short term. Considering it has started so early you probably have high levels of DHT so stronger treatments might be necessary in future, although currently you couldn't use finasteride which is the big gun. It also has the most issues with side effects.

Also if you start a regime, stick with it for at least 6 months. When you start a new growth cycle there is often some excessive shedding before you have new improved growth and density within the first month or so, and if you stop a regime because of this early then chances are you aren't getting it back. If it is getting worse after 6 months then look for something stronger, first thing I would add is some minoxidil instead of Revivogen or Trichogen topicals, preferably one for sensitive scalps with low alcohol.

If you aren't prepared for the chance of the sexual side effects and other nasties from Finasteride, then Lipogaine or HR23 oral supplements along with some additional high % fatty acids saw palmetto is the best you could do in regards to oral DHT blockers.
