5 Years on the BIG 3 - Need help
Hi Guys,
I've been on here for years and been on treatment even longer.
Been taking Dutasteride, Nizoral and Occasionally Minox (3-4 times a week) for the past 5 years.
Hair and hairline preservation has been great. I am now 25, and am almost a Norwood 2, but all other men in my family were bald by 23 and I have no doubts I would have gone the same way without my regimen.
The problem is, over the last month I have noticed my hairline (particularly on my left side) thin horrifically. It is yet to recede, but the hair keeping it in place is trully on its last legs.
Does anyone know why this could be? I have recently started up back at the gym, which perhaps has caused some of the issue. More importantly, does anyone know of something else I could be doing to perhaps salvage this hair before its too late.
I thank you all for your time and any help you may offer.
Many thanks,
-

Using Androvart was probably a smart decision on your part.
Why are you cutting down on Minoxidil? You probably aren't getting the
benefits from using it twice.
There's very little evidence that Nizerol does anything for hairloss. In
fact, there's not much proof at all.
Overwashing hair can cause it to temporary dry out, and make your
hair thinner.
Maybe washing it every third/second day will help? Wouldn't recommend
washing it everyday, as it could strip the oils.

Thanks for the advice k9, I'm going to do just that, more minox, less washing.
I suppose its just the application process and oily results that put me off twice a day.
Does anyone else recommend adding anything else to my regimen?

You sure it's not just cyclical shedding? Could be the hair you regrew is finally completing it's first long anagen cycle but are still somewhat synced from fin/dut

So many healthy heads of hair thin out toward the end of their anagen phase, entering catagen phase before regrowing?

Exactly, the study behind those claim is ridiculous. I wonder if those doctors telling people to use it 3 times a week actually read the study...
