Does Finasteride cause alzheimers

I have done some research and found a medical study regarding Finasteride and Alzheimers. Is there any new treatments coming out within the next few years and what about the topical of Finasteride. I don't want to take this stuff anymore even though I haven't had any side effects .

I want to cut my dose in half. Do you think it will work? MY testosterone level is out of range high and i am concerned about my health. I have no side effects though.
