Lightbulb Hair styling tips and how much loss is on my vertex

Hello I am now almost 28. Have had an M shaped hairline since high school around 16/17 then as of 2 weeks ago my sister mentioned my thinning hair on my vertex. Was wondering if people had any hair styling recommendations like does a fade work? would appreciate any comments how i look with a really short haircut and if suits me. blurred out my eyes in the pic.

Also how advanced does my thinning on my vertex look in the longer hair picture and then comparitively with my 1 guard haircut? pictures are with flash. first 3 are with the recent haircut. some people with the shaved say they cant notice untio they look hard for it but was wondering if they are just being nice about it. The front hairline has maybe progressed 1 cm in 10 years. I'm 6'2 Click image for larger version

It's a personal preference. You have to be happy with your hair, bottom line.

Try growing it out. You have enough hair to cover the thinner areas.

Sometimes short hair shows the scalp. When that happens, it can make it look thinner.

Had a buzzcut for about a year. My hairline is very bad (probably much worse than yours).

Women just didn't like it. That's my my own experience.

I can't speak for other people. Just myself.

appreciate the styling tip, yeah I will try growing out. I was just wondering from the first picture I have if I looked okay with the shaved head or if my head doesn't suit that short of a haircut since my head is kind of round.

You don't look bad with a shaved head, but nearly every guy looks better with hair then without. However there are a lot of people that look great shaved. I would reach out to the women in your life and ask for her opinion. If she likes it then its great! It looks professional and should be just fine for you.

If a person has a good head shape (no bumps or flat skull in back), he can probably pull it off.

    That's just my opinion.

My head is bumpy. When I tried to cut it really short (a #3 guard), and I had a bald spot, some women laughed at me. This was at work.

So, it didn't go over well with women.

But that's just my experience. You should ask women on the forum what they think.
