    Head And Shoulders?

I can't find any of the fancy shampoos you guys use where I live...

Since I started using minoxidil 2% religiously a week ago I have lately started getting dandruff. I think it will be a good idea for me to use a dandruff shampoo.

Is it a good idea for me to use head and shoulders?

    Thanks for any help

Use Nizoral. You can easily buy it online, same as propecia.

You can certainly try it; the active ingredient, zinc pyrithione, is very effective at treating dandruff. Some people claim there is a link between Head & Shoulders and hair loss. However, experts and doctors have not found any conclusive evidence that H&S contributes to hair loss. Still, it's something you might want to keep an eye out for and discontinue use if you do notice any increase in thinning or hair loss.

Head and shoulders does not have Keto

The best dandruff shampoos have Ketoconazole which is a drug that kills the fungus that causes dandruff. Nizoral, Regenepure, Revita are the latest and greatest with 1% Keto. Nizaoral is the most popular but it is a commerical shampoo and contains sulfates. The other two I have read are better but more expensive. There are also studies if you google Ketoconazole and hair loss, that find that the drug can help grow hair. I use Regenepure Nt as a conditioning substiture because it conditions the hair without thinning it out...

My opinion on Head & Shoulders? You might as well go through ten rounds of chemo for the good it'll do your hair. I won't touch the stuff again with a ten foot barge pole.

Perfect hair in January 2003 to a Norwood 3 by June 2003 using that crap.

Geez.Yeah I am definitely not going to buy it.

I have heard to many hair loss stories online about H&S. I will just see if my dandruff gets to bad stage and then perhaps try something else.

                Any other very popular shampoos?

I don't know how it's linked... but i started using head and shoulders when I was around 20... and I gotta say thats exactly when my MPB started to kick in - exactly.

I used it about three times a week for three months.

In all likelihood, I was prone to MPB anyway. But Head & Shoulders definitely accelerated the problem, I have no doubt of that.

My younger brother is nearly 22 and is still showing no signs of MPB although I'm sure he will sooner or later. That's two extra years with hair than me so far!
