Is this Male Pattern Hairloss? stopped using minoxidil after 4 weeks.

    Hey everyone,
I have got a question and i need opinion regarding using minoxidil.
In August 2016 i moved to a another country for work, just after 2 weeks after moving my hair loss increased because of change in weather and routine. I never had that much hair shed before, i read alot of stories and articles about hair loss and decided to try minoxidil. I started using it on 24th of November 2016 twice daily for the first 1 week but then switched to once daily before going to bed because it was difficult for me to use it in the morning before going to work. After 2 weeks of using minoxidil, i started losing baby hair along with thick healthy hair while combing, not sure if it is because of minoxidil as i have never seen losing baby hair in comb before. I realize that shedding occurs during the first few weeks of using minoxidil but i stopped using it yesterday as i was really depressed seeing baby hair falling. I am still confused whether i should continue using it or not. Hair on my right temple are much weak and dense compared to the left temple. So my question is if this is Male Pattern Hair loss? will i experience this hair shed even though i have only used minoxidil for less than a month? and whether i should continue minoxidil or not? I have included pics after getting buzz cut today.

It takes a while before shedding stops. It can take a good twelve to sixteen weeks or longer.

Yes, that definitely looks like male pattern baldness to me. I have the same issue, my right temple has receded more. However I was able to grow it back so now it is almost even with my left.

Keep using the Minoxidil. Also, use it on your forehead/hairline, where the hair is receded. It's just as useful there as your vertex.

If you're unhappy with your results, add Finasteride to the Minoxidil. Finasteride has more permanent hair regrowth.
