Need help finasteride users
Hi every one
I have sever diffuse thinning on the crown and receded hairline for almost 14 years, and recently even the sides start thinning.
I decided to start finasteride at least to maintain what I have.
I'm on finasteride exactly for 8 days, and I didn't get any sexual side effect at all..
erection, semen, orgasm, sex drive all are fine as before, no brain fog, anxiety.
the first day I have noticed lack of dreams while I'm sleeping ,and it didn't bother me, and I still got them.
a few days ago, I had to pee frequently, and I have a slight suprapubic pain, and that worried.
I'm on generic 5mg finasteride splitted to 4 ,every day dose, I don't use any other medication.
I'm thinking of quitting fin, should I quit?!
would this sides go away?

Try not to overthink it. I've been on fin for ~2 years and never had any issues other than 'ball ache' (which is innocuous) during the first few weeks which then subsided.
It takes months to see any results from fin, so try to remain patient and stick with it.

Thank you for replaying, are you taking propecia 1mg, or generic finasteride 5mg, and which dose you take?

Never quit finasteride if you want to delay the process.

Generic fin, 1mg, 3x a week.
Many endorse brand name over generic but I've had success with generic. My loss has stabilized with current regimen; I will up dose and frequency (and potentially switch to brand name) if that changes.
Try to stay off forums and stick with medication.

brand name is expensive, but alot easier to control the dose.
I'm taking 1.25mg daily , should a go for a lower dose?

Everyone is different; there is no one-size-fits all dosage. For starters, you need to be on the drug for a few months so that you can assess its effectiveness.

thank you, I think I shoud give it a month and see what is going to happen.

Staying on Finasteride is a good decision.
Since you are already on an anti DHT medication, you might want to consider regular strength Minoxidil to your daily routine. Expect one time shedding twelve to sixteen weeks, but it's only a one time thing.
