Default Dutasteride-induced effluvium or rapid MPB?

i am 34 and recently switched to dutasteride after 5 years on Finasteride with good results.

About 2 months after making the change, both temples basically become a clump of short hairs that extends way back. They don't seem miniaturized, but their growth seems stunted. Like, certain areas there's no hair anymore, and in the middle is a clump of hairs that won't grow to normal length.

So what is going on here? Is this likely some sort of an effluvium from the hormonal response to dutasteride? Or is it possible that my temples could have thinned out in two months, ironically, this soon after beginning dutasteride?

Note the first photo is from 2 weeks after starting dutasteride, the second photo is after two months on dutasteride.

I should add that I have now been on dutasteride 7 months and the hairline looks the same as the second photo. It hasn't gotten worse but hasn't resolved either. When I do a pull test on the shortened areas, 6-8 short hairs come out with white bulbs.

My temple hair has looked the same since a while on finasteride. The center of the hairline has thinned out and receded a quarter inch extremely slowly over a few years but the temples have stayed pretty static like they look in your pic. I wonder if some of the hair is sensitive to free testosterone as well as DHT.

So your situation is the opposite of mine? In mine, the temples have changed very fast. The center hasn't really changed at all...

Could be fake DUT, also, why you made the switch from fin?

There's definitely regrowth on your left temple. It's very solid. I would just stick to whatever you're taking
    now.
