Unhappy Finasteride/Propecia for 7/8 months hair loss started again

    Hi guys

I've been losing my hair since my late teens and admittedly left it too late (26 years old) before I started taking Propecia / Finasteride. Purely because I wasn't aware of it and obviously hadn't done enough research to find it. Anyway by this point I am very very thin on top and my hair line receded a great deal.

I've now been using the drug for around 7-8 months and although I hadn't really noticed much improvement, I do believe it had thickened up a bit as it felt better to touch. Also, the hair had pretty much stopped falling out in the shower. However recently my hair has been falling out again when I wash it and I'm noticing it in the mirror which is causing me to worry.

What's going on? Has it stopped working? Is this normal? I've done some reading but I believe by this stage I should be noticing positive differences not negative?!

Possibly a shed. Ride it out and give it 12 months.

You'll start seeing the full effects a little past a year, but you're loosing hair early in life meaning even with Propecia it's only slowing it down. If you want a better way to fight back begin researching FUE. That's what I did and it was the best decision of my life.

    My regimen includes:
HT #1 2200 (ARTAS- FUE) grafts at Parsa Mohebi Hair Restoration in Los Angeles in 2016
    Finasteride daily, since 2014
Rogaine experimenter from 2012- ’13 RIP

Planning HT #2 By End of This Year
