Experimental arthritis and cancer drugs regrew hair for patients with the second most common type of hair loss. Scientists want to make them work for male-pattern baldness.
Androgen Alopecia does seem to be genetically programmed, unfortunately. Had a friend who lost all of his hair, and grew it all back. Has no androgen related baldness in his genes.
