Brand new hair system is REALLY curly and wavy at first? Is this normal?

Hey guys, so I got a backup system ordered from my stylist but it is SUPER wavy and almost curly. She says this is "normal" for all new hair systems because they come with a wave to them that straightens out over time. But, is this really true? Is there a way I can just order the hair to be straight without any curl? Definitely not liking how obvious of a difference it is with the waviness when I get a brand new system.

I tend to agree. I think when they are sent from the factory the hair is curled and flat around the piece. I think a couple of washes usually straightens it

Ok thanks for the help, I will continue to wear it and then wash it a couple times to see what happens. It's truly a backup piece anyway so I am going to take it off soon and make my first one last as long as possible. These things ain't cheap!

Best get them custom made as a stylist is rarely going to have a perfect match - just too many variables and also depending on their stock turnover it could be hanging around for ages and if not correctly stored its life will be shortened.

How much did you pay for it?

It's not as curly as you think

Some factories put up the hair in curls for shipment to keep it looking neat and to prevent tangling in transit. These curls are NOT set into the hair and will disappear within a day or two after shampooing, cutting and styling.
