What sucks the most about getting a HT?
From top to bottom, finding a surgeon to recovery, I'd love to know what you all think as I'm in the process of deciding.
-
Full disclosure -- I'm only 4+ months post-op, so my perspective is fairly limited, but I'd say the first 2 months after the procedure suck the most. You really end up taking a step backwards in the hope that you'll take a step or two forward in the long run.
More specifically, I was aware that the grafts would fall out in the weeks after the procedure, but in my naivete I believed that my native hair would grow back in within a matter of a few weeks and my appearance would be the same as it was immediately before the surgery. What I didn't count on was the residual redness that lingers for 6-8 weeks post-op, and the contrast created between the thicker DHT resistant hairs on the sides of my head and the top of my head. The ensuing shock loss in the recipient areas also exacerbated this contrast. It took every bit of 2 months and trimming the sides of my head twice for the density on top to catch-up with the appearance of the sides.

after plantation 2 to 3 months are very sucking.. no doubt.. waiting and waiting for results

Almost always, it's the waiting game for the first 3-6 months waiting to see any sign of growth. Patience and low expectations are you best friends at this stage. Also, the redness in the recipient area can be obnoxious if it lingers longer than you want it too.
