So it's been a year and a half since I've been on finasteride (I first got prescribed it in April 2015) and in my opinion it probably has slowed down my hair loss, I'm not sure if that's just me but I feel like if I wasn't on finasteride I'd be experiencing more loss every month, but it definetely hasn't made any regrowth unfortunetly. I'm 20 years old and getting onto a Norwood 3 with some diffuse thinning on the front and the crown (I still have a decent amount of hair), and I was wondering if there's any point of getting on minoxidil now after having my DHT stabilised by using finasteride for a year and a half. I'm scared of the initial shed that minoxidil apparently brings incase the hair does not grow back but on the other hand if people have had good reactions with my sort of hair loss then I'd probably give it a go with keta shampoo once a week.
Another question also is that I've just been diagnosed with Crohn's disease and was wondering if this has anything to do with my hair loss? I asked my consultant and he said it may do but he doesn't specialise in dermatology (obviously). Is there anybody else out there with the same sort of thing?
