    Am I a good candidate?

    Hello everyone,

I am 28 years old and have been receeding since my early twenties. 3 years ago I started propecia which I think has helped slow down the recession for a while but lately I noticed some further loss which is causing me to panic a little. I am now at a point where I am seriously considering a transplant. There are a few things I would like to know though..

    1) Is there anyway of telling if I will have further loss behind the hairline once the transplant is complete and is this something the surgeon can assess and predict for me?

    2) For those of you have had transplants are there any noticable scars where the grafts have been implanted or do scars just appear at the site of extraction?

I have attatched some pictures below and I am currently consulting with several surgeons. So far I have had one estimate of 2000 grafts. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Yes, I would say you are a good candidate. Your recession is not too advanced for your age. Being on Fin is good, but just remember that you will likely need more surgeries throughout your life. Thr plus side is that there is plenty of time for new technology to improve hair loss in that time.

    Best luck!

Yes you seem to be a good candidate. Depends if your donor hair is good and it looks like it would be..

Finasteride doesn't cure baldness or stop it, it CAN slow it down in good responders, that's it.

No one can predict your future baldness 100% but you should be good to get a transplant to restore the hairline right now.
