Default I am balding already, 17 year old ?

Hello, so I am pretty upset about this and worried I am balding, I started watching my hair like 1,5 year ago, I will psot photos then and now (I dont think it changed mutch, but you will see how *****ed up my hair is when you see the photos). I ve also been to a trichologist, she said I aint balding, but I still want to see your opinions.

The thing is, you can see a lot of miniturized hair, if you look in the temple, the weird thing, they have been there 3 years for sure, which I dont understand.
Please observe this pictures patiently, and tell me honestly what you think. Also I will answer any question you ask, thx.

Hmmm... I can't see much difference tbh, don't know if it's just me.

For reassurance, you look pretty good for now. It's not really a receding hairline and nobody is going to look at that like "omg he's balding!". Nobody is coming up to your scalp with a magnifying glass to check your hairline out.

There's not a lot I can gauge from this though. It might be that your hair has always been on the slightly thin side (some people do just have thin, sparse hair). I'm going to be honest it is a little thin and sparse at the hairline (not bad! just slightly thin) so I could see you possibly balding in the future. For now though, you look ok, really.

Do you have family history of balding? Dad, older brothers, grandfathers on either side? That's a fairly good indicator. Most will follow men in their family, I'm going just like my Dad did. It's not always cast-iron certainty though, it is actually possible to go bald with no apparent/recent family history.

Your best bet is to go speak to a hair loss specialist/dermatologist, you can get free consultations with some and they can let you know what the deal is. This could include hair transplant specialists as they're obviously hairloss experts, but they absolutely won't operate on you at your age unless they're shady conmen looking for some quick money. If they determine it's balding, you can talk through what options you might want to consider with them, but no need to rush into anything, you're not going to bald overnight. The good news is there are options now, and slowly increasing in number and effectiveness.

Hi, thank you for your info. My dad is balding, but I have a completely different hair type (I think he was already receedingg at my age though), and everyone on my mothers side is ok. I will post a few images of my hairline some more years ago, so you can compare if you dont mind. Also I have been to a trichologist, which is like a combination of hair study and dermatology so they should be the biggest experts at this (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichology), I got told I am not balding, but I will go to another dermatologist in a week just to make sure.

Honestly, you look fine to me (at least for now) as @Dfaru94 said, you do look like you have a thin hair. If the dermatologist you're seeing next week confirms you are OK for now, you should take a look at Nioxin System 2. It's rather cheap, $20 or so, and comes with a shampoo, conditioner and a spray and I heard it's doing wonders for thin hair.

Hard to tell but I can't see any miniturized hairs or thinning yet. Looks like you have pretty good hair. So just relax and keep an eye on it, but don't focus too much about it because it will drive you nuts. If you start to see it recede in the next year or two, talk to your doctor about rogaine or propecia

At this stage it's hard to tell what road you will take. I think you are very young to be experiencing male pattern baldness so perhaps it is just that you have naturally thin blonde hair. Fingers crossed for you pal! If it gets any worse and you are convinced it is MPB then i'd jump on propecia asap, that will delay it for you hopefully until we have other treatments available.

Thank you, so pretty much it seems like I just have naturally thin hair ? So I should not be worried atm ?

It is most definitely possible but nobody can really predict what will happen. Best way to judge it is to have a look at your family tree. My father and his father went bald by 50 but they didn't start til they hit 40. My mothers father was a norwood 3 at 30 and is still a norwood 3 at 75 so I am hoping I take after him. Luck of the draw though isn't it! Just enjoy what you have today my friend. I find this approach is best in all walks of life.
