    Am I Balding?

Hi guys! Thank you all for taking the time to read this! And also, sorry for my bad english, but it isn't my native language.
I am 18 years old, my father got baldness at 21 years old when he was in the army, his father was also bald. From the maternal side, there was no one with baldness genes. I always had short hair on the sides, but since I let my hair grows (now I'm on the sixth month) i started to notice that my hair at temples is missing. When I was 14-16 years old, I had a little hair there, but it was very thin.
What do you think about the photos attached below? Is this just a mature hairline, or is this a sign for baldness?

HELLO Thegoldenpig and welcome to this great forum, The BTT!! (ive been here since 2010)
At this point in time, your hairline looks OK.
The photos do show that, right now, you are only experiencing a maturing hairline which is A-OK dude! Most all of us experience that! Again, your scalp looks good.
You might possibly experience some hairloss later on, BUT , you also might not experience that.
No one can really know at this point in time.
Thegoldenpig, do NOT ALLOW yourself to become worried and stressed-out over this and anything else in your life. There is no reason to.
Bro' STRESS and WORRY and depression WILL cause more issues to your hair and eventually to your health too.
You are so young right now my friend so I want to try to help you understand things a bit more.
When you are into your mid to late 20s, you WILL have proper FORESIGHT, the ability to predict the consequences of your actions.
I am not trying to insult you my friend so consider what I am letting you right know.
When I turning into my late 20s, I did understand things in life so much better. It was a PROPER realization of everything in my life.
        (Im in my late 50s)
I come on to the BTT at times to try to help others, especially the very young.
I would suggest that you start taking the over-the-counter vitamin of the B complex, Biotin!
Biotin has a long history now of helping ones hair and other things.
        Look it up bro' .
Stay happy and POSITIVE. Stick around here for a while OK? Again, your hair looks GOOD!!
We can talk about many things here.
        Cheers!!

At least he's healthy - because engaging in the fight against hair loss with anti-androgens - you risk losing that. You've been warned.

HELLO Thegoldenpig! Im glad to hear back from you bro!!
Again, I am on here at times to try to HELP others by using COMMONSENSE,
                  especially for very young guys
                  . (the young women too!)
                  Your words:
"My father only has hair on the sides and on the back, the top is completely bald. He's 50 now"

Thegoldenpig, my father's hairloss was about the same as your dads is now.
(my Dad pasted away in 2008, I so miss him!)
I would imagine that your father is accepting of his hairloss as my father did...
My father hated his hairloss BUT he was accepting of it and did NOT ALLOW it to affect him in a
                  negative way at all!

Thegoldenpig, my hairloss has not been as much as my father's hairloss was.
(my brother's hairloss is like mine, not as much as Dads was)
So, it is POSSIBLE that IF you do experience real hairloss, it may not be as bad as your dads is as well.
Of course none of us can know for sure.
When I was so much younger,
I did not allow myself to become worried and stressed over that possibility.
When I was young, I did have a matured hairline BUT it was not any hairloss as yet...
not until I was in to my mid-40s. My crown area was balding but not too much.
I did not allow it to hurt me with stress or worry at all!
More than likely, my hairloss would have been so much more if I DID allow my self to become worried and stressed out.
Keep that in mind my friend.
I started getting major hairloss around 2012.
In 2013 it really did get bad BUT I did not allow it to ruin my life at all.
It is possible that you may not get serious hairloss,,but, if you ever do, it can be fixed in different ways.
Even tho you would hate any hairloss ,acceptance is so important.
As time goes on, I am sure that there will be even BETTER ways of fixing ones hairloss.
(I was a patient of an important Phase Test from of last November 2015! I will be meeting with that doctor again this coming November,2016 for the updates)
Thegoldenpig, Im glad that you are doing GOOD my friend. Your hair right now does look A-OK!!
                  Lets stay connected buddy!
