Default 30 y.o thinking about it surgery. Do I need it or not?

I've noticed that my temple areas have risen up over the last few years. I recently went to a HT doctor and he said a 1000 graft fut surgery would straighten up my hairline. I'm up in the air about the procedure because I haven't tried anything else as of yet. I'm not balding anywhere else and have thick hair on the rest of my scalp. Do I need the surgery or should I try minoxidil or propecia first?

Hello Adam0311 and welcome to this great forum, the BTT!

First of all, because you are 30 years old, Im sure that you are a bit more accepting of everything in your life.
Of course nobody wants hairloss but because you are 30 years old, you have better foresight now.
All things in life can be fixed but, accepting things for what they are at the time being , is important. Stress and worry will cause more problems.

Adam, basically speaking, your hairline is good!
(i wish my scalp was still like that)
It could only be a MATURING hairline that you have.
Of course it could turn into hairloss too. No one can really know until it really happens.
For the time being, get on Minoxidil and possibly Finasteride too.
Meet with a GOOD hairloss Doctor for the proper help needed.
Start on the vitamin of the B complex, Biotin too!!
Its over-the-counter and it has had a long history of helping peoples hair.

I hope to hear from you soon Adam0311.

Again, your hairline looks relatively good! No major hairloss!
it only looks to be maturing at this point in time for you.
Just do the right things in improving your hairline and never allow yourself to become worried of stressed out about your hair or anything else in your life

IMO you don't need the surgery .

Try propecia to prevent further hair loss

My only issue is if you go in to fill the temples , be prepared , if or when , you experience further hair loss, then you will need to go back and fill it in or you will look silly

I would absolutely recommend you to get it done! I had the same issue with my hairline (maturing) i didn't like it so i put in about 1900 FU and now i look like Brad Pitt. If you wake up everyday looking in the mirror fantasising about that perfect hairline..you should invest your money in yourself.
