    New Guy; Same Story...

    Hey Gang,

New here and I'll start off by admitting I only noticed my hair loss / thinning about a month ago. Prior to this, I had a full-head of hair and actually it grew pretty wildly. I've enclosed some pics and I figured this would be the best place to seek advice.

So far it's a small patch, uneven, with a lot of thinning. I know I'm 40 but prior to this, even six months, it looked nothing like this. I only caught holding a mirror.

I can tell you I'm perpetually stressed and on a plethora of medications for high blood pressure and type-II diabetes; the blood-pressure med changed almost a year ago come October and in May a new Diabetic med was added so I'm hoping & praying that's the culprit.

Here are the pics - I'm not sure if this vertex or crown - so does this warrant a dermatologist? Or am I adding yet one more needless stressor to my already panicked list...

Here's how I look after a couple minutes of grooming...

If this is new and sudden, I don't see the harm in seeking a medical opinion on the matter. They may be able to figure out what's causing this and find a way to make it stop. I don't think you're being unreasonable in looking for answers. Try not to stress out about it (as that will only make things worse), but be proactive and seek out more information so you can get to the bottom of it.

    Best of luck!
