Default Post 6 month FUE: overharvested?

    Hey all,

I'm 6 months post opt FUE. I had 2800 grafts taken from the back and transplanted in the frontal 1/3 for a hairline reconstruction and density upgrade. I was initially quoted for 2500 grafts so i'm not entirely sure why the doctor did an extra 300 at no charge. Regardless I'm concerned about my donor area healing. I feel as if the area is noticeably thin and still red. I did have a follow up appointment with the consultant of my surgery and he said it would continue to heal. I'm here to get some opinions. Is my donor area going to improve? What are my options? Am I over reacting? By the way, I did have an IAHRS rated doctor do my procedure.

First two pictures are post opt 1 month and last two are 6 month post opt. Sorry for the orientation of the photos.

    Thanks,

    Hello Benzene !!
Great that you created this thread of your ongoing experience will hair grafting!
Your scalp is looking so GOOD bro!!!
I also have had FUE grafts done last year in November! It is at 9 months now!
I didn't have as many grafts as you have had.
I was given 500+ FUE grafts due to being a patient of Dr. Wesley's Pilofocus Phase Testings.
My hair improvements are still ONGOING.
Your hair improvements are still ONGOING TOO !! No worries buddy!
100% of your scalp will should improvements in time.
No worries about your donor area. Im sure that it will be A-OK.
Acceptance is so very IMPORTANT for all of us.
You should consider starting on Biotin (its over-the-counter).
It is a vitamin of the B complex that actually does help to improve hair. (and other parts of ones body)

How old are you Benzene and were do you live at?
    Cheers!

By the way, Rashid Rashid, MD, PhD also gave you a true commonsense response!!

To me the donor area looks red but not thin. Ask your doctor, but you may want to consider rubbing aloe on the red areas.

I'm going to disagree with some of the others in this thread and say it does look over harvested. I think you're within cosmetic acceptability, but you can see where the donor was harvested from in the photos. There could be some shock lost in the donor area that you're seeing as well although at six months I would've expected a lot of this to recover.
