Default Post Op concern: hitting my head

I'm 6 days post op and I accidentally bumped the top of my head on the metal rail while climbing into the shower. To make matters worse, the same day I accidentally bumped my head while climbing into my car. I've looked at my head and all I see is a small read spot where I hit the shower rail. Do you think that this could cause problems to the grafted area? Should I be very concerned about this? Thanks.

At six days post op you should be safe. If you would have lost a graft there would have been some active bleeding right after you bumped your head. If you are concerned you should return to clinic where you had the procedure. If you live far away, post a few photos and get an opinion from me and other docs on the site.

Default Hitting my head six day post op

    Dr. Charles,

Thanks for your helpful reply. When I accidently bumped my head there was no bleeding at all. Just a tiny red spot that would be expected when one bumps their head. Your answer put my concerns at ease. But I will send a pic to my doctor just to make sure. Del
