Desperately need advice ?

I'm new to the forum, and I really just need some advice so I'm 21 years old and recently have been losing hair fast in my front area and my top. I started rogaine and have been on it for almost 2 months, but have yet to see effects in terms of hair growth, but I shed less. Will I see regrowth? Also what about rogaine , I'm scared of the 2 week shedding period is it really bad ? Also instead of two times a day can I do it once a day? And how long do I use it for ? Also what is this minoxidil I keep hearing ? Sorry for my lack of understand I'm quite new to this all.

TL;DR : IVe been on finestride for two months , when will I see regrowing? Can I use rogaine at the same time ? Is the shedding period that bad ?
