22 - Am I going bald (pics)
This is my first post!
So first off, I've noticed there's a lot of these threads from guys my age. Thing is I have just had my hair cut short for the first time in over a year and looking in the mirror, I noticed my hairline. I've heard of "mature hairlines" and widows peaks but given my dad and both my grandfathers lost their hair, I've had this panic and I've been looking in the mirrors and become more and more convinced I'm balding. I took these photos today.
Should I start looking into propecia?

Anyone? I could really use an opinion

I am no expert----and I would hate to venture an opinion that just adds to your stress. If it worries you, then consult with a recommended doctor that is convenient to you. Might even occasion a trip. There are some noted ones in belgium, but maybe locally as well. Don't worry too much; enjoy all the nice hair you have.

Early stages MPB. It looks like you have a bit of a recedeing hairline and some thinning on the crown. On the bright side you still have a lot of hair left! Start treatment asap an you could save the hair you currently have. Look into getting a perscription for finasteride. Also try minodoxil 5% (rogaine) for your thinning areas, and get nizoral shampoo. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the response! It's just I've never given my hair a thought and suddenly I looked in the mirror after I got my hair cut and then I remembered the bald men in my family... I've also aware that propecia etc work best when you've still got most of your hair and I don't want to leave it too late

Scottish guy,
Looks like it might be early stages of male pattern baldness. Would definitely consider looking at Finasteride as you have potentially caught it very early which is positive.
I have been on it now for 9 years and currently using Dr Edgar who is very good.

Hi, I see you live in the UK- how do I go about getting a prescription? I've heard doctors here don't prescribe it.

I use Dr Edgar who is a GP in the UK for my private prescription. He is a really efficient and helpful Dr and you can speak to him on the phone.
Many GP's aren't familiar with Finasteride for hairloss unfortunately so they don't feel happy prescribing it. Dr Edgar however is informed and helps many patients in the UK wishing to get a prescription.
His email is Drstevengedgar@gmail.com. I have always used 5mg Proscar and cut it into quarters although to get the 1mg daily recommended dose should cut it into fifths. The main reasons I use him is because he is 100% legitimate and affordable.
