Will rogaine cause shedding in non-applied area?

I am 22 and I have experienced receding hairlines at temple areas, but besides that my crown and back have fairly thick hair. I am planning on appling rogaine only on my temple hairlines. Will my crown area be affected by initial shedding?

Your crown area won't be affected by any rogaine caused shedding, unless you apply rogaine to the crown area. The "initial shedding" is not necessarily standard procedure, it doesn't happen to everyone, it might not happen to you.
