Default Unnatural hairline, and electrolysis to fix

    hi all,
I've had 4 hair surgeries; 2 with what I consider to be a moderate surgeon, and then 2 to more or less fix the problems created the first time around.

I'm very happy with the density, finally after 8 years. However, one aspect I am really not happy with is how the first surgeon placed some grafts below the corner of my temples, as well as across the hairline.

It's very weird, because I usually cut my hair short, (#2) on the sides and the area below the corners is just oddly shaped.

My barber just tried shaving all the hair off below the temple, and wow - it's a huge improvement.

    I'm curious about two things.

    1) Is it a standard practice to place grafts below the temple corners?

    2) How does one deal with an unrealistic hairline? Should I look into graft removal or electrolysis?

The photo here isn't very good, but I think it demonstrates the strangeness of the hairline. You can see a round protrusion on the left side. Everything was buzzed to a 4 or so in this photo, with a week or so of growth.

Here's a more recent photo after my fourth surgery (and my barber started shaving below the temple corner) I'm very happy now.

Your hair lien looks fine in either photo .
If you do n't point it out I don't see anything wrong
You're looking for a perfect hairline.
I would try to move on

Thanks for the kind words Dave, perhaps you can't see from the photo (it's honestly the only one I can find) but I had a few friends tell me in confidence that it didn't look natural, so it kind of spurred me on this secondary mission. I'm just unsure if electrolysis is a good option, it seems like it might cause me to get excessive scarring or maybe reveal some pitting.

I see what you are talking about in the first pic (due to you talking about it) but agree that it looks natural to me. I would think nothing of it if I saw you on the street. But if it bothers you then it bothers you. Id be concerned that laser hair or electroylsis could take too much away or exacerbate the issue. Perfect is the enemy of the good.

While I can totally see where you're coming from and understand the need to want to get it "just right", based on the photos, I'm not seeing anything that would make me stop and say "Woah. His hairline looks weird." I actually know guys that shave their widow's peak on a daily basis just because they like the way it looks better without it, and it's never been noticeable to me until they go a couple days without shaving it. Point of that being that if you really like that way it looks better with the temple area shaved, try doing that on a daily basis as part of your routine and see how that works for you.

Can I ask how the plucking is going please? Do you think it has worked at reducing the thickness of the hairs in the front please?
