I have also just gotten off the telephone with the clinic to ask why there was no patient care and did I actually require the medication , why noone asked what my hair looked like , the fact I was only taking it on and off for 4 years, guess what they couldn't answer any questions with a direct yes or no. I asked what would happen if I stopped taking the treatment after 1.5 months, they replied with you will not see the benefits of the growth, I asked will my hair continue to shed, no comment, what are those miraculous benefits - hair growth! Personally this comlay is a trap to force your hair to fall out for them then to take pictures and post about how marvellous their product is , everyone I have spoken to at this company could not care less about your well being and how stressful it it, they just want your money every month!

I've been looking for information regarding the life long use of Rogaine.
One piece of information i found stated that after stopping Rogaine, my hair lose would be worse than if I'd never started taking it.
      Is that true?
Or instead, would my hair return to how it would have been naturally if i'd never started using Regaine?

Let me start by introducing myself as a 26 year old male, who has recently been confirmed to have MPB I've always had thin hair, but it's only been the last 6 months or so where i've noticed I can see my scalp more when looking in the mirror, and also a few people have made comments about my hair which caused me to be paranoid enough to visit the Belgravia Centre in London to seek some advise.
They confirmed it was male pattern baldness and when seeing the photos that were taken, it was quite a shock to me on how thin the top of my head was in areas. I was told if I start the Minoxdil i'd get good results so i've paid for 6 months of the 5% liquid to see if i can see results after that.

However, now i've received the treatment i've yet to start. I'm quite paranoid about the shedding stage, the hair specialist confirmed this is all good as the treatment is working and that it tends to last a few months, but I just wanted to know HOW noticeable is it?? I understand it will vary per person but i'm paranoid the shedding will make me look horrendous to others I dont notice any hair loss at all like some do, eg in the shower, on my pillow and usually I can run my hands through my hair a good few times without no hairs appearing on my hand, though sometimes i've noticed literally one small hair.

Also, are the results of using the 5% minoxidil really as good as what i've read from posts on here?

Any help or advise is greatly appreciated!!
Rogaine aka minoxidil is the only non-surgical way to keep your hair from falling out and will also encouraged hair regrowth. You just have to use it for at least 3 months before you start seeing any results. You also have to continue to use it otherwise your hair will return to where it was before you started Rogaine. It's also possible that your hair could lose more hair than you had before you started Rogaine. This depends on how much hair loss you had and how much hair loss you are expected to lose.

I've used it with success (I think) for nearly 10 years now. When I was 20-21 in college my friends and GF mentioned my receding hairline. Shortly after, I started using it. At first you will shed a lot, but don't worry man. That stops. And don't all hairloss products do that anyway initially? For me, it's basically made my hairline stay where it is. What I've noticed now (I'm 32) is that my hair is thinning in the front in general, so either I start applying minoxodil all over my head (it will definitely be a pain in the ass) or bite the bullet and take finasteride.

Minoxodil is incredibly cheap by the way - the foam from Costo (Kirkland brand) lasts me like 6 months. 30 bucks. Then again, I'm only using on my hairline. Some people say they put the liquid form in a sprayer for their whole head - that sounds like a good idea to me.
