my experience with rogaine foam once a day

Hi all, I'm new in the forum and I just wanted to share with you my experience with rogaine foam in case it could be helpful for anybody (I'm not a native english speaker so forgive me for eventual grammatical errors)

I started losing hair at the age of 26 at a slow but "dramatically" constant rate. Initially I just noticed a small recession of my front hairline which honestly I don't care too much about. But two years ago, when I was 29, some friends let me notice that I was starting to lose hairs in the crown area which is something that scared the shit out of me -anyway the situation wasn't yet dramatic and still barely noticeable-
After consulting a dermatologist I started applying rogaine foam (5% minoxidil) twice a day in the morning and the evening. However I quickly gave up after realizing that it was too much of an effort for me and after 2 months I switched to only one application at day in the evening, which is very easy and not an effort at all.

After 2 years of use I can say that I am 99% sure that my hair situation didn't get worst and maybe, but probably this is just an optimistic impression, the density of my hairs in the crown area has slightly increased.

So hard to tell if the rogaine had any effect on me or if my hairs were genetically supposed to stay like that, but to not take any risk for now I'm happy to go on haha
