Can vitamins/supplements improve hair quality (for those who have mpb)?

Hey fellas, does any of you know if taking supplements/vitamins can improve our hair quality/texture? Not regrowing, I just wanted to know if it can help the hair look less fragile/more healthy long term.

Since male pattern baldness causes our follicles to slowly 'deteriorate', I wonder if at least while we're loosing it, we can mantain what we have with a healthy look !

Cheers and good luck in real life fellas! Hope you can deal with your struggles!

Supplements aren't absorbed all that well and many doctors believe they're nearly useless.

The best way to maximize the assets you have would be to eat a healthy diet, avoid smoking and drinking and exercise regularly.

This will improve your looks in every area.

It's not because you eat a LOT of vitamins that are good for hair that you'll have more beautiful hairs. Your can make some tryings, sure, but your body will reject most of the things he does not really need. BUT supplements can be useful if you really do lack specific vitamins and you know which ones.

Thanks for the reply bro! I really thought it worked somewhat like that ! But then again, why do dermatologists tell hair loss sufferers to take supplements???

No one has much a clue about anything in medicine. Take the big 3 or go the natural MPB route and learn to live with it. Those are the best choices today. Supplements are worthless

Yeah, I was really just looking for a possible way to make my hairs look healthier, not to regrow them.. I'm already taking finasteride and minox for that

But thanks for your replies guys, I also thought supplements wouldn't do much, turns out I was kind of right there.

Nutrition absolutely plays a part in hair health, and anyone who says otherwise is an imbecile. I shed a lot more hair if I'm not eating well or not supplementing properly.

Agreed, most vitamins are trash. I prefer organic whole food supplements. Check out Juice Plus.
