Started seeing some fin progress but now seems to have regressed!?

Hi everyone,

So I've been shedding quite diffusely for the last 2 years, and have been taking finasteride for about 8 months now, and also using a topical finasteride for 1 year. 4 months ago I noticed a significant decrease in shedding and some regrowth in areas that had gotten thin, I was over the moon! It stayed pretty stable for a few months, not getting much better or worse, until about a month ago when I started shedding again like crazy!

Anyone know if this is normal/ could be just a shedding cycle? Is it normal to see big sheds like this this long into taking fin?

I feel like its either going to turn around soon or else get much worse, which will be soul crushing after finally seeing some progress.
