Is it normal to shed while using rogaine/minox?

Is it normal to shed hair while being on rogaine? Been using it for years now, but i always shed while applying or combing my hair in the morning.

I don't seem to shed that much when i have short/buzzed hair. If my hair gets around 4-5 month of length i seem to shed more?

Is this normal?

Minoxidil can and does cause shedding mainly initially when using it for the first time. The longer hairs will be easier to see, the shorter ones not so much but longer hair has greater resistance to comb so might be why you are seeing more hair when hair is longer.
