It's really hard to tell with the images you posted. I think if your dermatologist recommended Rogaine there must be at least some thinning. I think there is an ongoing general concensus that Rogain is not much more than a temporary bandaid. You should start researching Finasteride and speak to a hairloss specialist or dermatologist again. I think it's worth noting that not every dermatologist is a hairloss expert. I've actually been to one that seemed to know less than myself about it. Your age may be of concern with some physicians when it comes to Finasteride but it's never to early to at least start researching. The earlier you map out a researched and long term strategy for your hairloss the better off you will be. It's easier now a days for many people to save their native hair where it's at than to try to surgically move it around later. Take it from someone who knows, time is not on your side.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I don't really like posting my pics in the internet so yea I could post some more if they could be of any help(?).
So I did some research and yeah I guess my age is really the only concern for buying fin. Unfortunately I cannot buy it on my own so that's a deal breaker. and about the doctor, he said that I am not actually thinning right now but I will soon. so he gave me the minoxidil.
What my concern is that I read that minoxidil does not effect the balding process but instead it just makes more hair go in the anagen phase and the balding continues at its normal pace. It's not what I want because my hair is already so fine and "less dense" that any little thinning will look like a lot. So only fin will be of my help. But yea I am afraid about the side effects too lmao 😂😂(don't want any gyno).
Anyways I appreciate your suggestion. Thanks

Ok. So first off Im not a doctor. With that being said I think Finasteride is something worth researching and considering at your age. With any drug comes potential side affects including asprin or caffeine. Not to minimize the low potential side effects of Finasteride but I think the internet provides an avenue that can magnify just about anything regardless of reasonable empirical data. Do your research about the drug and the chances of its side affects. If nothing else continue using Rogain and wait it out. If things progress negativley for you, start seeking 2nd or 3rd opinions from qulified hair loss experts. The sooner you react the better your chances. Keep us informed and updated. I can assue you there are many here to get great advice from including Spencer. If you haven't tuned in or listened to TheBaldTruth weekly broadcasts the archived shows are available here. They can be really helpful regardless if you've just started thinning or have been around the block a few times as myself. Hope this helps my friend......
