Hair loss or hair whorl/cowlick?

Hi all

Recently I noticed the top of my head and worried that my hair is thinning.

I have incredibly thick and curly hair, I'm not sure whether what I'm seeing is just my natural cows lick/whirl which is growing out in all different directions therefore I can see scalp?

These photos below it looks fine, not sure whether it is just because of the way my hair is lying in the first set of pictures? I.e it has just been parted naturally from being messed up or lying down?
