I understand how bad hair loss can be, I've been dealing with depression for a long time because of it, but part of life is to meet a good women and to have a family if possible. I don’t want to jip my wife out of having children based on the possibly of them having hair loss in 20 years. I’m convinced that there will be a cure by then.

That's what my father thought 27 years ago. The idiot.

LOL. I see your point but I still wouldn’t sacrifice the pleasure of raising a family because I fear my kids might have hair loss, and I believe we will have a cure.

I'm not so sure. I saw a photo of the cause of my baldness for the first time today, a paternal great grandfather. Ugly bastard, what with being a Norwood VII. Why oh why on why was he allowed to reproduce?

Fixed by 35, what your father thought 27 years ago+what will happen in 20 years = 47 years span. We are less than that from the first hair transplant in the 50's (if i'm not mistaking) and you cannot deny the progress. In the next 20 years the progress will be 10 times that of the last 20 years at the rate medical research is going.

Conclusion: you can safely have children (if you find the right person)

I'd rather see where Histogen goes first. I've hated the past seven years and I don't expect that to change any time soon, so I'd be very unwilling to risk creating future lives as miserable and dull as mine.

Let's be honest, when you're bald, the way people treat you does change. You go from being 17 and learning to drive, 18 and having some great nights out, to 20 and semi-retired with no social life. People make assumptions that you're boring and old and you get excluded. That's what happened to me, even by people older than I was and it's no sort of life for anyone.
