Ketoconazole and clobetasol

I have been diagnosed with male pattern baldness and I've been on fin for about a year, I think it's working, but I can't tell if I'm just more in tune with the hair loss than before I even noticed, my dermatologist prescribed keto and clobetasol because I've got an irritated scalp, my question is, does anyone have any experience with these products? I've heard they can make hair fall out, but was also told it can help treat hair loss, thoughts?
