Dr. Umar or Dr. Deyarman OR?
Hi Folks,
I have done a lot of reading, despite some skeptics, I am leaning towards Dr. Umar (had consult) or Deyarman (consult soon). I'm in need of some repair work from 15 yrs ago to add density (probably 4-5.5k graphs). I think I am realistic in what results are achievable, I'm tired of using topikk on the scraps I have left.
The ARTAS system Dr. Deyarman is using is intriguing but so is some of the repair work performed by Dr. Umar. Despite my adequate facial/body hair, Dr. Umar felt my head donor area was adequate and felt using that was the best course of action.
Please provide your thoughts and experiences. I feel like this is my only shot to get it right!

Hi SMH4,
Long story short, Dr. Umar saved me. I had 4 failed procedures prior to my surgery with him. If I never took the step of having a procedure with him, I would be shaving my head, and living in psychological anguish and anxiety from the emotional and physical disfiguring of my past surgeries.
Good luck with your decision either way.

Realistically, we need photos to get a better idea of your situation. As a repair patient, you have to ask yourself if it makes sense going for everything at once or if taking smaller steps is more wise. I'm personally a fan of the latter because the next surgery you have is the most important one of all. Don't forget that if this one doesn't turn out the way you want, you've got that much less donor hair to return to a state of naturalness, which should be the goal, not a home run.
