Believe it or not, but there actually seems to be some difference not only between sex and fapping, but also between different kinds of sex as well. Refer to the following study for more info: The Relative Health Benefits of Different Sexual Activities (Stuart Brody PhD, 2010).

Results. A wide range of better psychological and physiological health indices are associated specifically with penile–vaginal intercourse. Other sexual activities have weaker, no, or (in the cases of masturbation and anal intercourse) inverse associations with health indices. Condom use appears to impair some benefits of penile–vaginal intercourse. Only a few of the research designs allow for causal inferences.

I'm yet to read that 26-page document in full, but it does look like a legit study.

I think excessive fap must be what makes people go bald prematurely. That is, if you're destined to go bald, then genetically you actually are bald your whole life, fapping too much will just make that happen sooner rather than later. So the earlier you start and the more you fap, the higher the chance that's going to happen in your 20s as opposed to late 30s or something. That's my understanding though. I could be wrong, but still my takeaway from this is telling my kids (if I'll ever have any) to keep that in mind.

This study is almost irrelevant to what this thread is even about. Psychological differences between sex and fapping means nothing as far as hair goes. Your hair cares about 1 thing - androgens and the resulting cascade of events after that.
