What are SM04554 and RU58841?

Hi all,

I see two long threads on these products but I don't know their background or history. Can anyone provide a brief explanation on these products? History, how they work, etc.

SM is in clinical trials now. Was recently reported to have regrown a small amount of hair after just 3 months, which is reason for cautious optimism despite what you'll read in those SM threads. Whether it turns out to regrow proper amounts of hair after using it for the sort of timescale that is advised for other treatements (fin, minox) remains to be seen.

RU is not in trials, people buy it in powder form over the internet from unregulated sources. Seems to do something for some people, seems to give side effects too, some people report it working for a short-ish time then losing effectiveness.
