Thoughts on new FUE hairline?
First I want to say this is a great website with a ton of resources and available knowledge that helps and I'm thankful for it.
I had a 1000 graft FUE procedure done by Dr Yates' team one year ago and while I do have new hair, I have a question on how well the new hair is blended in to the old hair line.
Any thoughts on it? Just seems blotchy to me and very noticeable where new hair was placed & any thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

For only 1000 grafts in that much balding area it looks pretty good.

Do you have a before picture?? It's impossible to gauge the results without it. If that whole frontal half was bald, then the results are good. I just wonder why such a conservative number of grafts then.

I'd agree that better pictures would help. I actually think being on the conservative side is always safer.

Found some before pics. I went with 1000 bc thats all I could get financing for. Got 7,000 and Yates gave it to me for 7 per graft. Here's some before pics

Hello there Marc (Stx303) !
First of all, you are at the RIGHT website/forum,The BTT,for good help and advice.
Secondly, you went to a very GOOD doctor, Dr Yates!
A few years ago I had a brief conversation with Dr. Yates on the phone.
I had considered possibly going to Dr. Yates clinic for hair transplantation,
but I also had come in contact with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley.
Another VERY GOOD doctor!
I eventually became a patient (#2) in Dr. Wesley's 3rd Phase testings last year in November.
I feel that your hair will look even better than now because a full transplant result may take as long as 18 months to be achieved.
You stated that it has been only 1 year since your FUE hair transplantation.
A percentage of patients can achieve approximately 80% growth of the transplanted hairs at the one year mark.
Of course it does vary for everyone.
I feel that your hair IS going to look even better in a few more months.
No worries,,and do NOT stress-out. Stress can and will cause problems for you.
You hair, of course, is looking much better now than it did prior to the transplantation by Dr. Yates!
Im sure that it will look even better later on Marc!!!
On a side note, do you live here in Illinois? If so, in what area of Illinois do you live at?
I grew up in Chicago and I still live here in Illinois,,of course.
Hope to hear back from you bro,,cheers!

It's fine for 1,000 grafts. You went from considerably balding, to some one who is balding a bit. Like if I saw you in the street I would think "that guy is going to go bald", instead of "Damn, that guy is balding badly." I think with 2k more you'll be in the "Not visibly balding to the naked eye" category.
