Unsure if Rogaine Works for Me

Hi. I'm a 22 year old male that have been using generic finansteride and Kirkland 5% Minoxidl liquid for about 8 months. I haven't really noticed anything except the side-effects I hade the first weeks. I currently see a lot of shedding hair, but this is the first time in 8 months I've had more than 2cm long hair.
I have been very sloppy when using rogaine; every time I've used it, I've applied it to dry hair without massaging it at all. I also have very bad routines, so even though I used it twice a day, there's a very inconsistent time interval between the 2 uses each day.
I'm not sure if it's actually working or not, and I'm not sure if applying it the right way really makes much of a difference. I will continue to use it the right way from this day forth and I'll try my best to apply it around 8am/8pm each day.

Dude I am also using minoxidil for my frontal thinning and hair loss around temples since the last 1.5 months.....but till now I have not seen any improvement rather than increased in shedding....by the way my dermatologist told me to apply it on dry hair not when the hair is wet.....dude wat type of hair loss do u have and how many hair are u shedding???
