Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd write a post introducing myself and my experiences to date. I've gone at hair loss very aggressively which has paid off. There have been some side effects with medications, but to date I believe they've been worth it.
November 2012 -
27 years old - November 2012 - Notice that I'm losing hair and it seems to be thinning. Doctor prescribes me Rogaine foam and start using it twice daily.
January 2013 - Speak with my regular doctor, who prescribes me Propecia. Take 1mg daily. Use Rogaine twice daily. I ask my doctor about sexual side effects. He says they're very unlikely, and if any occur, to stop using Propecia for 2 weeks and then resume taking it.
July 2013 - Notice a decrease in interest in sex. Stop taking Propecia for 2 weeks, sex drive goes back to normal and resume taking it.
December 2013 -
28 years old - March 2014 - Notice a decreased interest in sex. Stop taking Propecia for 2 weeks, sex drive goes back to normal and resume taking it.
July 2014 -
29 years old - October 2014 - Notice a decreased interest in sex. Stop taking Propecia for 2 weeks, sex drive goes back to normal and resume taking it.
December 2014 - Order TRX2. Start taking 3 tablets per day.
April 2015 -
30 years old - June 2015 - Notice a decreased in interest in sex. Stop taking Propecia for 2 weeks, sex drive goes back to normal and resume taking it.
July 2015 -
31 years old - January 2016 - Notice a lower sex drive and problems maintaining erections. Doctor gives me a full range of blood tests, everything is revealed as normal. Doctor gives me Cialis and use 10mg several times while having sex. Provides the best erections of my life!! Stop using Propecia for 3 weeks. Erections return to normal.
January 2016 -
I think my hairline may have receded a tiny bit over the past few years. But overall happy with my head of hair. Feel for my friends whose hair loss is bad.
