FUE repair on older micrografts to make scalp more natural looking?

I was wondering if anyone has had experience with FUE'ing micro grafts on the scalp to break up the appearance of the older "plugs"? I’ve heard multiple passes are needed?

FUE them out or complete removal?
What kind of scarring is associated with each of above?
If removed, should sites be sutured shut or left open to heal? I'm hoping to improve cobblestoning in the process.

I still have hair on top so I worry that complete removal may look more odd than my micro grafts do. I'm also thinking laser hair removal of the plugs instead might be an option? Especially when I lose my hair.

    Thank you for your advice.

Posting a couple of photos would definitely incite more ideas. The location and size of the plugs/micrografts can determine the most effective approach for your specific goals.
