Default It has been TWENTY FIVE YEARS since the last hair loss drug was released

Twenty five years. That's more than a generation. Think of all the other drugs that have been released since then, how many other diseases and disorders have gotten new and innovative protocols. Take erectile dysfunction, for instance. Viagra came out around 1998, and since then, two other treatments have been released. But hair loss? Zero. And since it's reasonable to believe that it will be at least another five or more years before something new hits the market, it may very well be that TWO GENERATIONS went without any pharma-based hair loss innovations. Why aren't the major drug makers invested in this market? Why are the only companies investigating new therapies small-time startups or second tier drug makers? How can we be on the verge of artificial intelligence and self-driving cars, but still have no truly effective drug that grows hair? It's really quite startling.

Because hair loss is genetic. We all know that anything related to genetics is very complicated.
Science still haven't cured anything that is genetic (i think)

just because no drug has been released doesnt mean investors dont see the potential in hairloss market. why dont we just accept that hair loss is NOT an easy equation to solve then we can finally all move on with our life. enough of hearing these tantrums.
let me give you an example so that u would understand humankind has tried everything into everything to make something of it.

Kopi luwak is one of the most expensive coffees in the world, part-digested coffee cherries eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet. even THIS has been found... can you seriously image a guy giving coffee beans to this animal and expecting it to sh*t it out to make a coffee of it. just so another great example of all natural remedies have been tried. it is genetics and it wont come easy

Not to mention the age-old treatments we do have aren't even remotely an option for many of us - for one reason or another - and the future looks bleaker with each failed (developing) treatment. The world just doesn't recognize this as a real issue, it's as simple as that. Meanwhile the balding community keeps convincing itself things are just around the corner. But until we manage to raise awareness on the psychological ravages of baldness and dispel the taboo, we'll just be waiting our hair off.

Its a complicated disease like most are, and its towards the bottom of the total pole in importance. Also there exist things like propecia/dut that work pretty well at preventing the problem. Regrowing hair has turned out to be tough to do. Cures for anything are never a for sure thing. It might not even possible to do because not everything is reversible.

Everything that you begin with and lose, save lost limbs, is reversible. For example things like macular degeneration, diabetes, spinal injury. the toughest parts to treat will be brain trauma and lost limbs. Everything else (10-15) years away from fixing it. Except for those ailments that haven't seen much funding to figure out, like hair loss.

Als used to be a dead end, and then a few years those ice bucket challenges have made the future of treating als imminent.
