Non-genetic causes of baldness in men
Just wondering, are there any conditions besides androgenetic alopecia that are associated with hair loss in males? How can doctors be certain that male patients who present with thinning hair are genetically predisposed to baldness vs suffering from vitamin deficiencies, skin conditions, etc? Are any hair products or treatments known to cause hair loss?

IAHRS Recommended Hair Transplant Surgeon
There are medical conditions that can cause hair loss in male patients. To name a few are Thyroid abnormalities and certain types of Anemias. It is more likely that these types of problems will cause hair loss in females. Male patients who are having chemotherapy or radiation treatments can also experience hair loss.
