Opinion on whether this is a bald spot

It's certainly is a "bald spot," in the sense that it is a spot on your scalp that lacks hair. I don't know why the other posters would say otherwise. That being said, it's very low on your scalp and not particularly indicative of male pattern baldness. But it IS a bald spot, and you should monitor it to see if it gets any larger.
