The swirl does make it a little difficult to tell, but I will say that it's common for that area of the crown to seem thinner when there's a whirl/cowlick involved. Also, I know that for me personally, my hair fall increases pretty significantly when I have a dandruff/dry scalp outbreak. I've had scalp sensitivity issues all my life, and when my scalp is obeying itself, my hair seems to follow suit and obey itself also.
The only way to know for sure if you're losing your hair or not though is to get a miniaturization test with a trusted HT surgeon (who will tell you the truth and not just try to sell you a hair transplant that you may not even need). In the meantime, get the dandruff taken care of and see if that makes a difference. I apply raw apple cider vinegar to mine when it gets out of hand. It's the only thing I've found through the years that actually fixes the problem.
Overall though, I do think your hair looks great - but it's worth getting it checked out if for nothing more than your peace of mind.
