Been off the forum for three years...

Hi guys, I used to come on here all the time in 2012-13. I gave Finasteride a go but the side effects were too much for me and I think my experimentation with the meds actually managed to accelerate my level of balding.

I find it amusing in some ways, I see pictures from 2011 and think wow I had loads of hair, though at the time I thought I was quite bald. Now I literally am, I have to keep it razor blade short or it looks ridiculous haha. I've come to accept it, I actually enjoy shaving it completely now, it feels like being reborn everytime I do it, I've gotten myself into decent shape to give myself better facial features and grown a kick ass, not too long beard. It's almost a relief that I don't have to worry about losing anymore because besides the horse show areas theres not much left to lose.

It would be nice to one day have the option though so every six months or so I google hair loss cure to see if theres been any developments but haven't seen anything of note. Is there anything in the pipeline for the future thats noteworthy?

There is new drug SM04554 that might hit market in 2017. We hope that it has potential to reverse 1-2 nws. It's new molecule and doesn't play with your hormones.

Replicel/Shiseido and Histogen still haven't started their trials but they are planning to start this year.

Also google Setipiprant it can be new finasteride with no/muuch less sides.

But unfortunately nothing for nw5-nw0 , maybe Pilofocus (new HT method, that is still in trials) can give you nice results (with partial donor regeneration(?))
