    accurate algorithm for cell reprogramming

for those of you who are interested in iPS and cell reprogramming, this is huge:

i don't know how this can even be possible, but they somehow cracked it with the right computing power. with that algorithm, you can create any given cell type you want, without trial and error. this is a great breakthrough for cell reprogramming.

this also means, that now every scientist will be able to easily create millions and billions of all the cells we need, let it be DP cells or DSC cells or whatever. the problem of not having unlimited cells is no more.

so why not do it already? there's no excuses anymore now. all the required technology is here. create a bunch of DP and DSC cells and inject the shit into our scalps. spread this news to sctientists and other important persons.
it's time to get this shit done, once and for all.

Pretty cool but somehow I'm not expecting it to be applied by the big companies anytime soon. Pessimistic me believes the scientists won't be changing up their business and scientific model all of a sudden.

Truly hoping I'm wrong and this will speed up the process

sweet, now we are only 10 years of safety and efficacy study away from this happening

on a serious note: it is huge.

        Amazing stuff.

        Here's the software: http://www.mogrify.net/

Hair follicle cell to dermal papilla cell:

What does "hair follicle cell" mean exactly? Hair follicle epithelial cells (as opposed to mesenchymal DPC cells)?

I dont know what it means, but its not going to be as easy as you think. It never is because the devil is in the details of putting it all together and actually doing it. As usual its just one step in the very very long road to actually curing/treating MPB or whatever other diseases. It takes many many advances and steps not just 1 which is why it goes so slow.
